2016 gave us 3 really long legs, initially from the Sea of Cortez in Mexico to Ecuador and then the loop out into the South Pacific to the magical Easter Island before heading south east to join the Chilean channels in Puerto Montt.

Each leg gave us something different, with the El Nino effect making our passage from Mexico to Ecuador more difficult that usual. The lack of anchorages on Easter Island is a challenge to anyone making this passage but is more than made up by the unique sights on the island.

After a relatively quiet passage back to the coast of South America we were met by a wonderful assortment of wildlife as we approached Puerto Montt.
