2018 - Antarctica & South America
We returned to Novara in Port Stanley at the end of December 2017 and prepared her for the journey across the fearsome Drakes Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula. The story of this trip is best told by the video created by Bjorn with some amazing footage taken from our drone.
Stopping briefly in the Falklands again on our return we sailed on to Piriapolis in Uruguay where we left Novara for a few months before returning for the long coastal leg up the coast of South America. Stopping off at a number of the Brazilian highlights before spending two months exploring the rivers of French Guyana, Surinam and Guyana, completing this stage of the journey in Grenada via a brief but pleasant stop in Tobago.
