2019 - Bonaire, Haiti, Cuba and back to Maine
After the cold and extreme conditions of South Georgia and Antarctica spending time in the warmth and calm waters of the Caribbean came as something of a welcome relief and gave us the opportunity to share the adventure with our grandchildren who revelled in the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the warm waters around Bonaire.
A brief stop in Haiti gave us a glimpse of life in this beautiful but often tormented island and then on to Cuba another fascinating island surrounded by warm shallow waters.
The completion of our circumnavigation of the Americas was made when we returned to Camden, Maine in June 2019.
A total distance of 32,950 nautical miles.
