Novara....Service History

Having spent 2 1/2 months preparing Novara for the NWP before leaving Maine, I have tried to ensure that all necessary maintenance was carried out in good time and where necessary equipment was updated or replaced as required. A detailed log was kept and is available but the latest items are summarized below.


  • Fuel injection Pump, all fuel lines and injectors renewed (December 2018)

  • Raw water pump fitted (June 2018)

  • Oil, oil filters and fuel filters changed every 250 hours.


  • Westerbeke 5.7kw (fitted June 2019)


  • Gearbox, Flexible coupling and Thrust Bearing all renewed (June 2018)

  • Cutlass bearing renewed and Stern Gland replaced with the latest Aquaseal system (June 2018)


  • Raymarine C125 Chartplotter at the internal nav station (2014)

  • Raymarine C125 Chartplotter on the cockpit pedestal (2014)

  • Raymarine Digital HD colour radar (2014)

  • Raymarine Autopilot and Course Compass (2015) 

  • Raymarine P70 autopilot control heads at nav station and repeater on the cockpit pedestal (2015)

  • Raymarine I70 Multifunction display on the cockpit pedestal (2015)

  • Raymarine Tri-data thru hull for depth/speed/temp (June 2019)

  • Raymarine AIS (2014)


  • House bank batteries renewed (January 2018)

  • Engine start batteries renewed (January 2018)

  • Generator start battery renewed (January 2019)

  • Isolation transformer renewed (December 2018)

  • 2,500 watt Mastervolt inverter (June 2019)


  • New stakpaks fitted (December 2018)

  • New Bimini cover fitted (December 2018)

  • New mast boots fitted (December 2018)

  • Sails cleaned, serviced and reefing points strengthened (December 2018)

  • Both Jibs renewed by North Sails (December 2017)


  • New Macerator fitted (January 2018)

  • Both freezer compressors replaced (December 2018)

  • Bilge pumps renewed 2021
