Penosbcot Bay

June 10, 2014

The whole Maine coast is a cruising yachtsmans dream but Penobscot Bay must certainly be the jewel in Maines crown. With shelter provided by the outer islands from the Atlantic swells there are 100's of beautiful anchorages to choose from and at this time of year they are mostly empty save all but the hardier locals.

Trish and I are taking the opportunity to get to know the boat in a relatively laid back manner and the sheltered anchorages make for calm and quiet nights. With the thought of what is to come I for one am making the most of it.
