We have had a wonderful time based here in Camden, Maine and we could not leave without saying THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us with this project.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Bill and Johanna Strassberg, a friendship first forged in the Galapagos Islands and built upon as we sailed together through the Pacific to New Zealand and rekindled here, cruising together once more in their home waters.
The folks at Wayfarer Marine have been amazing, helping prepare the boat for the extreme conditions it will come up against as well as becoming great friends in the process.
Shane and Susan can be justifiably proud of a great team....individuals all, if that is not a contradiction in terms.
Doug and Dale Bruce have also helped enormously with help and advice using their vast experience of sailing in northern waters and recounting tales of mutual friends in various parts of the world.
Finally we must say a big thanks to Barton Waring, Novara's previous owner, who has been incredibly supportive from the minute we established an interest in buying the boat and someone who, we hope, will remain a friend for many years to come.
If our big picture plans come to fruition then we will be back in Camden in a few years time!
