In flat calm seas and no wind we motored the 30+nm to Lunenburg and tied up on Zwickey's wharf in the heart of this historic town.

We were met by Al Hutchinson of Covey Island Boatworks, a contact given to us by dockmaster Ben at Wayfarer back in Camden.

Al and his team have built the classic topsail schooner Bluenose II and we had the privelage of getting up close to this magnificent boat. Al is great fun and incredibly knowledgeable about all types of boats but particularly wooden boats.

Sadly we had to cut short our stay to head up to Halifax to change a malfuntioning Radar, underpinning once more our decision to take things slowly at first to get to know the boat and prove all systems.
