Halifax, Nova Scotia

June 29, 2014

We arrived here in Halifax, Nova Scotia a couple of days ago and will complete our preparations before heading quickly north.

Terje Lokken, the fourth member of the team flew in and Trish will leave us tomorrow to fly back to Europe.

We have completed all but one of the jobs on our "to do" list and but for some last minute provisioning we are ready to go.

We are moored in the heart of the city and are currently hemmed in by the Canadian Frigate "Halifax" and therefore Novara will be part of the city's Canada Day celebrations that began yesterday and will stretch over until Wednesday.

You may have noticed a new header on the tabs bar....."Boat Position" will be used to enable people to follow our position with daily updates when underway as well as most of the other boats/Kayakers who will be attempting the passage this year.

A big thanks to Fred for his expertise in making this work.
