Progress Update

We found a really good secure anchorage 15nm north of Cape Dyer, having motored in light winds and calm seas. We found that there was a north going counter current that gave us an average of 1 knot and at times 2 knots of favourable current helping us along for the first time since leaving Camden. The coastal scenery here is rugged, barren but spectacular, with sea ice replacing the ice bergs we need to be even more vigilant as we thread our way through the ice.

We motored slowly into a small fjord that held promises of finding a good anchorage for the night and we were able to find a spot in a small side inlet close to the rocky shore.
