Fingers crossed for accurate weather forecast

September 8, 2014

We took shelter from the strong northerlies in the lee of Camping Island some 20 miles up Dolphin and Union Strait and had a good night's sleep. As predicted the winds have died down overnight and instead of punching our way into 25kts apparent, we are now motoring into 13kts apparent headwinds. Once we round Bexeley Point we should be able to bear away and motor sail before we hit the predicted winds that will drive us westwards...fingers crossed!
