We arrived in Nome at 1am and anchored off to wait for first light before entering the harbor.
The people here are very friendly and we have had lots of visitors, offers of help, etc.
It is also the home of the finish of the famed Iditarod dog sledge race.
It is an interesting, at the edge sort of place with people to suit and it would be good to stay
longer but with storms forecasts for the Aleutian chain for the 26th we will try to head south to beat these storms and make as much headway north before they hit.
