A calm Bering Sea

The winds died just before dawn on the 21st and we motor sailed throughout the day and night in light easterlies. Conditions remained the same on the 22nd, warm with clear blue skies and a gentle swell. At least these conditions allowed us to see more of the wildlife with lots more birds and whales, although too far away to identify.

Having anticipated a windy sleigh ride down to the Unimak Pass it has been a surprise to find such benign conditions.
