North Western Fiord

The journey across the straits to the Kenai Peninsula was uneventful, motor sailing in light easterlies and dropping anchor for the night in Berger Bay on Nuku island and leaving the following morning to head into North Western Fiord to get up close to the glaciers that flow down to the sea.


Although the low cloud kept the mountain tops from view, the following morning we awoke to clear blue skies, no wind and flat seas for the onward journey to Seward
