Nassau Fiord

July 7, 2015

From Fox Farm Bay we took the opportunity to head into Nassau Fiord and take a look at the Large Northwestern Glacier. There is a lot of bergs and brash that calves into the fiord and we had to pick our way through the ice to get up close.

The ice in the bay is used by seals as a nursery for the pups, where they haul out to keep safe from predators.

There were 100's of seal pups in this one bay and we were able to drift slowly by to get some good shots, sadly the light did not play ball.
