A Day off.

March 6, 2016

With the boat wrapped up and dust flying all around we took the opportunity to head off to swim with the Whale Sharks that are found in these waters at this time of year.

These big fish can grow up to 6 metres in length and we were lucky enough to find an young adult of around 5 to 5 1/2 metres and an adolscent of around 4 metres.

They are pretty docile as long as you do not touch them and allow you to get up close. They have huge heads and large mouths that filter the tiny life found in the nutrient rich waters.
