Puerto Montt, Chile

November 17, 2016

Novara is now safely tucked up In Oxxean marina, Puerto Montt after a 12 day, 2,100nm passage from Easter Island, a relatively uneventful passage with little wildlife or life of any sort for that matter!

although never really warm the temperature plummeted once we hit the north going Humboldt current but were rewarded with at least two type of Albatross that swooped and wheeled around us day and night.

Chile is noted for its many volcanoes and there are two visible from the marina. The short time I had in Puerto Montt was enjoyable, a modern city with all amenities and the gateway to Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego where Novara is headed to next!
