Heading South

January 15, 2017

With strong headwinds forecast, we decided on an easy first day out of Puerto Montt. After refuelling, we motored 25nm south through the numerous Salmon and Mussel farms to a sheltered anchorage in the islands south of Puerto Montt.

Leaving at first light, we had a glorious sunrise the following morning as we crossed the entrance to Canal Chacoa and weaved our way through the islands to the small town of Castro on Isla Chiloe.
