Our southbound passage to Deception island took 5 days and 4 hours in fair winds and not too boisterous seas.
The journey back from Deception was made in almost perfect conditions, fast sailing with the wind on the beam almost the whole way and we came back into the harbour at Stanley in 4 days and 4 hours.
With Bjorn and Andrew due to leave on the Saturday we spent a busy 5 days getting the boat ready for the 1,100nm passage to Piriopolis in Uruguay.
We had a great adventure during our time in Antarctica and have some amazing photos and video footage that I will put on the blog when I next get decent internet access.
But for now here is one of the ice build up on the boat when we arrived in Deception.
